Erie County
4-H/Youth
Program Directory
.gif)
4-H is a dynamic youth development program that lets young people
learn new and exciting things, make friends and have fun all at
the same time. This year, the 4-H/Youth Development Program in Erie
County will reach over 2,000 young people from the area. Erie County
4-H'ers participate in a variety of projects including sewing, archery,
bicycling, rocketry, cooking, wildlife and animal science. There
are more than 25 4-H clubs and special interest groups in Erie County
to meet the needs of young people between the ages of 8 and 19.
Children between the ages of 5 and 8 may participate in 4-H as
Cloverbud members. Look for Cloverbuds listed under club names to
find an existing program for your 5- to 8-year old, or ask any club
leader about adding Cloverbuds to their club.
This directory lists each club, where they generally meet, the
names of adult volunteer leaders, and a contact phone number. The
organizational leader of each club is indicated by an asterisk.
In addition, some project areas that the club currently participates
in are also listed. Members of every club may participate in any
one of the more than 100 projects that are offered in Erie County.
4-H . . . it's truly a fantastic ExpERIEnce!
Still have questions? Then contact us at:

or call (814) 825-0900 for more information!

Dear Prospective 4-H Member:
Thank you for your interest in the Erie County 4-H/Youth Development
Program. We hope that one of the clubs described in this directory
meets your needs. If not, be sure to contact us about starting a
new club in your neighborhood. Remember, all it takes is five or
more youth like you and at least one adult volunteer to get a club
started! Or, if you prefer, you could work on 4-H projects at home
with the help of a parent, guardian or adult friend. If you'd like
to pursue this individual study option, please be sure to contact
us at the extension office for more information.
There is an annual $20 educational materials fee per member. This
fee includes all of the project books and members may join more
than one club and not pay an additional $20 fee.
We're looking forward to working with YOU in 4-H!
Sincerely,
Jennifer R. Fetter

GOLDEN CLOVER CLUB
A unique funding partnership composed of government and private
funding sources makes possible the many 4-H opportunities available
for our young people. We could not successfully continue to provide
a strong and growing 4-H/Youth Development Program in Erie County
without the annual support of our many private funding partners.
We welcome into our Golden Clover 4-H Club, those partners who
contribute a minimum of $150 annually in support of the Erie County
4-H/Youth Development Program.
Membership in the Golden Clover Club is granted to the following
Erie-area businesses and funding partners in recognition of their
ongoing dedication to and support of the county's 4-H programs and
the youth who are members of these programs.
