General Information:

CERTIFICATION COURSE

National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® Certification Course Description: A combination of home study and a one day ServSafe® class requires 8 hours of home study and 8 hours of classroom instruction, for a total of 16 hours. The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® course includes an exam. Books and exams are available in other languages - call for details.

RECERTIFICATION COURSE

Course Description: This is a review and update of food safety principles covered in the original certification course. Topics will include: HACCP review, updates to the 2005 Food Code, and more.
Audience: This program is designed for those who already possess a Certified Food Manager Certificate and want to renew it.
NOTE:
you must renew before your current certification expires.

Certification Registration:

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required 7 days prior to class date. Home Study is required. You may also register in person at your county Penn State Extension office. You will receive a book upon registration.

Please note you are not officially registered until payment is received. Use one registration form per participant. (Forms may be photocopied). Picture ID is required at the class.

Recertification Registration:

Complete the registration form. Mail it along with your payment in full to the appropriate address of the class location. You may also register in person at your county Penn State Extension office. Please note you are not officially registered until payment is received.

Refund Policy:

Refunds may be granted if notified in advance. If the course is cancelled, participants will be notified at their specified telephone number.

Rescheduling fee: A $50 fee will be charged if you enroll in a class and then reschedule for another date. Payment must be received prior to attending the class.

For class cancellations due to inclement weather, call the office you are registered with.
